Templar DPS Recommended Stigmas
- Break Power/Ankle Blow: This stigma allows you to decrease the physical attack power of a target that has been stumbled, while boosting your own.
- Divine Slash/Punishment: Useable only with a Greatsword, this stigma does a large amount of damage on the target.
- Indignation: This stigma increases your physical attack power by 30% for 30 seconds, allowing a massive damage boost.

Armor
As Templars are one of only two classes who can wear Plate, Plate remains the recommended armor. Look for plate that gives boosts to physical attack, crit, and accuracy.
Weapons
Templars who seek to DPS can make use of one of two strategies.
The first strategy is to use a greatsword only. This two-handed weapon will offer you strong damage, and comes with bonuses to physical attack abilities. However, many of your abilities, especially at early levels, will not be available to you, as they require a shield. This means that you will be making less special attacks in trade for a higher auto-attack damage.
The second strategy is to use both a one-hand weapon/shield combination and a greatsword. Using the ability to switch weapons in combat, Templars can begin their fight with some of their more common skills that require a shield, and then switch to a greatsword for their melee damaging skills. As the fight goes on, the Templar will switch back and forth, ensuring the ability to use skills, have a high survivability rate, while at the same time, getting a chance to get heavy burst DPS on an enemy.
Enhancements
Like gladiators, Templars must focus their enhancements on their physical DPS. Most recommended is Physical Crit, which increases your chance to critically hit with your weapon on both special and auto-attacks.
Besides Physical Crit, Accuracy is useful to make sure that your weapon is hitting (especially important as you are swinging a slower weapon), as is Attack (which boosts the damage you do.)
