What type of hero will you be? This is one of the first questions you’ll answer when playing World of Warcraft. After deciding what race to play, each character will choose one of several classes. Each race has its own list of class options available to it. Throughout their entire careers, characters will be able to learn from a pool of over 1000 spells and skills. A character’s class will help determine which spells and skills he or she can master; this page lists just a few for each class. Below you will find information detailing each of the classes you’ll be able to play in World of Warcraft, including a few examples of the numerous spells and skills available to each class.

Druids are the keepers of the world and masters of nature with a diverse array of abilities. They are powerful healers, capable of curing poisons and raising fallen comrades in the thick of battle. Druids also command nature’s wrath, calling down ranged blasts of energy, summoning swarms of insects, or entangling their foes in the earth. But druids are also masters of the wild, able to shapeshift into a great bear, cat, or even sea lion, gaining their powers in combat or travel. Druids are a diverse class with a variety of playstyles, capable of filling any role.

The Druid gives players several play style options. A Druid in normal form is a caster that can fight with spells or weapons. In Bear form the Druid becomes a Warrior with Rage. While in Cat form the Druid becomes a Rogue with Energy and stealth. The Druid can also transform into two other special animal forms. With its ability to heal itself and fellow characters, the Druid can also take on the role of a Priest. A Druid is not as versatile in its abilities as a Priest is, lacking the spells Power Word: Shield, but is otherwise a very capable healer.

Hunters are deadly marksmen, capable of bringing their enemies down from a distance with bows or rifles. Skilled survivalists, they can track enemies or lay traps to damage and entrap their foes. Hunters also possess a primal connection to the beasts of Azeroth, capable of taming and training them to keep as loyal guardians. Wearing light to medium armor, hunters can also dual wield weapons in combat, fighting beside their pets in battle.

The Hunter is a vicious damage dealer. With their ability to pull extremely well and hit monsters hard from far away, they certainly help take down monsters more quickly. Their pets add to the damage count and can aid somewhat in managing monster aggro. The variety of traps allows the Hunter to control crowds to an extent, as well. The combination of their extreme range, decent damage, and trap capability, Hunters are the perfect pullers for any group.

Mages wield the elements of fire, frost, and the arcane to destroy or neutralize their enemies. They are a robed class that excels at dealing massive damage from afar, casting elemental bolts at a single target, or raining destruction down upon their enemies in a wide area of effect. Mages can also augment their allies’ spell-casting powers, summon food or drink to restore their friends, and even travel across the world in an instant by opening arcane portals to distant lands.

When seeking someone to introduce monsters to a world of pain, the Mage is a good choice. With their elemental and arcane attacks, it’s a safe bet something they can do won’t be resisted by your chosen enemy. Damage is the name of the Mage game, and they do it well. Their arsenal includes some powerful crowd control spells, also, giving them the ability to keep hordes at bay — in fact, these abilities can be used on the most common creatures in the game, thus making them extremely valuable for this purpose.

Guardians of the Holy Light, paladins bolster their allies with holy auras and blessing to protect their friends from harm and enhance their powers. Wearing heavy armor, they can withstand terrible blows in the thickest battles while healing their wounded allies and resurrecting the slain. In combat, they can wield massive two-handed weapons, stun their foes, destroy undead and demons, and judge their enemies with holy vengeance. Paladins are a defensive class designed to outlast their opponents.

The Paladin is a mix of a melee fighter and a secondary spell caster. The Paladin is ideal for groups due to the Paladin’s healing, Blessings, and other abilities. Paladins can have one active aura per Paladin on each party member and use specific Blessings for specific players. Paladins are pretty hard to kill, thanks to their assortment of defensive abilities. The Paladin can also heal with Holy Light, unlike other combat classes. The Paladin is an Undead specific fighter as well, with several abilities designed to be used against the Undead.

Priests are the masters of healing and preservation, restoring their wounded allies, shielding them in battle, and even resurrecting their fallen comrades. While they have a variety of protective and enhancement spells to bolster their allies, priests can also wreak terrible vengeance on their enemies, using the powers of shadow or holy light to destroy them. They are a diverse and powerful class, highly desirable in any group, capable of fulfilling multiple roles.

Rogues are a lightly armored melee class capable of dealing massive damage to their enemies in a flurry of attacks. They are masters of stealth and assassination, passing by enemies unseen and striking from the shadows, then escaping from combat in the blink of an eye. Rogues can also craft poisons that damage or cripple their enemies, reducing their effectiveness in battle. Groups will find rogues valuable, for not only do they deal massive damage, but they can open locked doors or chests, and disarm hidden traps as well.

Shaman are the spiritual leaders of their tribes and clans. They are masters of the elements, using spells and totems that heal or enhance their allies in battle while unleashing the fury of the elements upon their foes. Shamans can wear medium armor, and even wield massive two-handed weapons in combat. They are a versatile class that can wade into battle, restoring their allies while hurling elemental bolts of lightning at their enemies.

The old phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” is an excellent way to describe the Shaman; they are the only real “hybrid” class in World of Warcraft. While they do not excel at any one aspect of their repertoire, they function passing well when performing most tasks called upon by a party. Need a support healer? Looking for a secondary tank? After another damage-dealer? Have an empty slot that needs someone to support the group in general? The Shaman can provide. They have a number of utility spells as well that help make life easier for any party.

Warlocks are masters of shadow, flame, and demonic power. They are a robed class that excels at plaguing their enemies with disease or curses, hurling bolts of fire or shadow energy across the battlefield, and summoning demons to aid them in combat. While warlocks are powerful casters that deal damage from a distance, their demonic powers can also protect or support their allies in battle, or even summon other players from across the world using ritual magic to conjure portals.
Warlocks have both powerful damage spells (primarily dealing over time) and debuff spells that work well in conjunction with each other and with the abilities of their group mates. They have Curses for many occasions; in fact, they can easily be considered the best debuffers in the game. Their pets, too, help with the damage dealing and grant the Warlock extra abilities to put to use. They can also control crowds well with Seduction and Banish, and provide limited support in the form of their summoned stones.

Warriors can be a raging berserker or an iron-clad juggernaut, capable of withstanding tremendous attacks while protecting their allies from harm. They have a wide variety of attacks that do everything from cripple their enemies, to dealing massive amounts of damage in a single retaliatory blow, and enhancing their allies’ fighting ability with battle shouts. They excel at fighting multiple opponents at once, gaining rage from every blow dealt or received to unleash their attacks. Warriors are a versatile class with a variety of play-styles to choose from.

The Warrior can be a defensive, shielded tank, a damage-dealing powerhouse, or a mixture of the two. Their abilities obviously pertain to the art of close combat; their stances carry with them different moves for different situations and party setups. All in all, the Warrior is one of the prime candidates to capture and hold the attention of creatures while they die to sword and spell.

The fearsome death knight, World of Warcraft’s first Hero class, is not your average adventurer seeking to prove his or her worth on Azeroth’s fields of battle. No longer servants of the Lich King, they begin their new calling as experienced, formidable adversaries, heavily armed and armored and possessing an arsenal of deadly and forbidden magic learned in the Lich King’s thrall.

To create a Death Knight you must have at least one character on any realm that is level 55 or above.

World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role playing game or MMORPG that has been set in the equally expansive Warcraft universe. The Warcraft universe began in the nineties with the release of Warcraft I for the PlayStation platform. Years later, gamers around the world saw the evolution of the third-person strategy game to a venerable strategy game for the PC platform.

Perhaps the most memorable game after Star Craft in the 2d realm is Warcraft itself. Before WoW, players form around the world mastered the complex game architecture of Warcraft III, which had been expanded with the well-known Frozen Throne expansion pack.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is the latest installation of Blizzard Entertainment to the already hefty World of World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade. The game is an addition to the already rich environments and complex gaming system that composes WoW.

Wrath of the Lich King may be just the thing to wheat the appetite of WoW players looking for a new character class and improved game play. Wrath of Lich King features a newer character class: the death knight.

For those who have been playing Warcraft for a long time (at least already playing when Warcraft III emerged in the market) the death knight hero class emerged with Arthas- the used-to-be good Prince of the Human race who eventually destroyed those around him with the search for the Blade. Arthas eventually returns to his father the King’s kingdom and kills his father, thus beginning his career as the infamous Death Knight under the sway of the Undead legion.

The death knight hero class has powers similar to necromancers, thus continuing the older story line of the death knight getting his identity and powers from the Undead.

The expansion pack also features an improved and beefed up character development system. There are two magic numbers with the WoW expansion Wrath of the Lich King: 55 and 80. Level 55 is when you get to customize your own death knight and level 80 lets you explore a veritable minefield of new abilities and powers.

The game is improved significantly with the addition of another Realm: the Northrend realm. According to Warcraft lore, Northrend is the continent of the deadly Lich King. According to feedback from beta testers, indeed the Northrend realm is tougher than the other realms, adding to the anticipation of finally coming face to face with the Lich King himself.

According to Blizzard, the new realm Northrend is open for visiting for any character level or type. However, the realm had been designed for characters who have progressed to at least level sixty eight.

As for the dungeons, there will be dungeons in Northrend and these are comparable to those that have already been made available to players in the Burning Crusade.

For the destruction dimension of the expansion pack, the addition of siege weapons would truly make the WoW experience better- because now you can tear down destructible elements of the environment.

With the new WoW Lich King comes the new Hero class which many WoW players have been patiently waiting for. Hero classes will consist of rejects from WoW III that didn’t make it into level 1 (either because they were too strong, or because they didn’t make sense.) The WoW Lich King Hero Class contains the Death Knight, which is accessible after your character reaches level 55. The Hero class also consists of the Bard, and since he is a little different, I’ll review him first.

The Bard, which started out as an April fool’s joke now appears in the Lich King Hero Class. He has a big attitude and is armed with an axe. He has an even bigger guitar, allowing him to play killer riffs! He performs solo as well as in groups.

In the spirit of music, the Bard has a Punk tree he can access which gives him the ability to dispel fear with Nonconformity and a Mosh Pit gives him a temporary boost of speed, but leaves members still within range.

Of course, no musical inclination would be possible without a “groove.” The groove fuels his powers, and when an ability is selected, the Fret Bar is launched, so the character will know which riffs to activate on the guitar-based keyword peripheral, which is shipped with the game.

Now for the serious WOW Lich King Hero Class – the Death Knight.

The Death Knight’s quests take place in Acherus: The Ebon Hold and in the Scarlet Enclave. Because all death knights have to start out in the Ebon Hold it is a sanctuary and therefore, there is no PvP combat.

The Death Knight is fully plated up, with access to extra resources of runic power, which build up as abilities are used, and because of the plates, he doesn’t use a shield.

There are six runes available; two runes of each of the three types. They are refreshed in ten second increments. Resources of the Death Knight are based on cool downs, instead of heating up with the mana, rage, and energy mechanics.

The Death Knight is a great WoW Hero Class, and I recommend the Bard to anyone looking for a fun character!

A level cap of 60, no outlands, no Blood Elves, no Draenei, the good old days of “Vanilla WoW.” Then came the Burning Crusade expansion and all the hard won gear of Vanilla WoW was quickly obsolete, the new races came in, new PvP opportunities arose, and more.

And now comes the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion brings new gear (say bye bye to all the old purple gear,) the Lich King, Death Knights, and 10 new levels to earn.

Unlike the Outlands, the new continent, Northrend, doesn’t have any level requirement. If you want to send your level 1 explorer there then go for it. Mobs start at level 68 so if you actually want to fight something, then bring along a character of a little higher level. If you’re not high enough level yet then you should get to work.

If you are the type who likes to explore all the hidden areas (as I tend to do) then you will have a blast exploring Northrend. If you’re the type who like to level a little faster be aware that the quests in Northrend, like all the other WoW quests, will send you all over the place. Efficient leveling will require a little organizing of all of your quests.

As usual, when you hit any new area and start grabbing quests you will note that they send you in all directions, some are local and some send you to other zones. Figure out the most efficient path to hit your quests by making notes of where those quests send you and then do them in a logical manner. If you are going to go to the Big City anyway (for training, buying, whatever) then that’s the time to turn in your city quests.

Once people started hitting level 60 they immediately noticed that quite a large number of experience points were needed to hit 61. The same is true for the new levels. 70-71 is something of a long haul, especially if you aren’t organized. If you approach thing willy nilly you will find that each level will take a long time.

Grinding is the leveling method of choice for many, but with the super long levels from 70-80 this will be a very dull way to level especially after the initial glee of exploration wears off. Take whatever stash of Mountain Dew, pizza, and tunes that you laid in for your pre-70 grind fests and triple it.

The first people to hit 80 played in the beta test and learned all the routes and the sweet spots for a little extra grinding. They don’t do it by randomly grinding or by doing quests randomly.Bloodscalp saw its first 80 (Horde) at 1am on the 15th, but he wasn’t the fastest.

Nyhm, the first character to hit 80 on any server, said (in an interview with MMO-Campion) that he did it by grinding the crypt in Drakil’ji Ruins (in Grizzly Hills.) The monsters there pop up quickly and are neutral, so the grinding is safer. A healer seems to have been along for at least part of the ride. I don’t know that I could deal with 27 hours of straight grinding, but he did. He had the right spot, the right gear, the right team, and made it. I wonder if he even bothered to get training or to loot the mobs he killed.

For those who didn’t get to explore the world in the beta it will take a bit longer. One thing that will help you a great deal on all your travels is to grab a WoW addon called “Cartographer.” This addon lets you set waypoints which are a big help in finding your way around whichever zone you happen to be in, whether it’s the starter area, an instance, or Northrend. Grab a quest, locate the area that you want to be in, set a waypoint, and follow the arrow on your main screen. It’s a free download and the installation is as easy as any other WoW addon.

“Quest Helper” is another addon and this one provides directions and info for many of the quests throughout WoW. It’s updated regularly so while it might not be 100% Wrath ready right now, it should eventually get there. Quest helper provides quest locations, info, and help, all in-game.

Silver rose reluctantly of the ship and walked along the river towards Valiance Keep. She shook, but not cold. She was raised in Winter Spring, and had no problems with less degrees. But this was North Rendsburg, Arthas continent, and his evil permeated even the smallest stone.

War preparations were in full swing, and by a rapidly configured board stimede long queues of volunteers from Azeroth to. “What you worked with earlier?” asked the recruiting officer. “Tailoring” said someone, “joiners,” said others. The newly fodsoldater went on to equip themselves as officer saw Silver. “You there, I can see that you are not a normal soldier … go over and talk to our leaders in Fort”. How much experience at five hours? Well, many games can be implemented at the time but when you are talking World of Warcraft, it’s barely enough to scratch the surface. I had the opportunity to explore the first four zones in Wrath of the Lich King, and thought I would talk about everything I have seen.

North Rend is structured in a different way than Outland. Instead of each player only gets to choose a zone from day one, two, Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord, which facilitates greater than the population of the new areas. You can choose how you want to start and there is rapid transport back if you were to change their minds. I chose Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra, furthest southwesterly.

Let me begin by pointing out that all the landscapes that have been published so far are more or less full of errors. The structure comes fairly, but if i have seen is not consistent with my descriptions, I have the right.

The first thing I notice is that all the classic Alliance and Horde-buildings have been renovated. The inn is completely different and the different variants of the fort has been completely new layout and a more vibrant, fresher style. Undead have had their own architecture (instead of the usual human houses with spindevæv) and orkernes style has become more brutal – stålgrå instead of Thralls more primitive red-and-horn design. Orkernes new architectural design has its explanation. Garrosh Hells Cream, son of Grom Hells Cream, commas, the North of Rendsburg-orkerne. He is formally subject to Thrall, but has its own motives, and are considerably more militant than Thrall.

On the Alliance side matched Garrosh of Bolvar Fordragon if I can remember him. Onyxia hero from the battle has now embarked in the war against Arthas. Worth pointing out here is also that King Varian Wrynn returns. The cartoon published in the U.S. follows his way to freedom, which sometimes recalls Thralls history. It will be interesting to see his role in the Wrath of the Lich King, but Blizzard confirms that he will come back to Storm Wind.

Without specific tasks, I shall set off to explore the new world. It seems rather pointless to test emissions by such a short playing time, so I try instead to see as much as possible. Borean Tundra is a wide open field as the name suggests, full of pale grass, rocks and geyser. At first it may seem a little sad, but it appears to offer a lot of interesting areas. Gnome has built an aerodrome and fun it is to travel from a fly, instead of the usual vultures. In the south are a Tuskarr town that is under attack from the jættelignende Vrykul people. Numerous Viking-like ships sailing in the country, after which Vrykul people go into battle with Tuskarr walrus-creature markets.

I go to me instead to the north and encounters a merry time DEHTA or Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals. ” The Cenarion here related group as an arch-enemy some Hemet Nesingwary and will no longer tolerate that he will send adventurers out to kill lots of innocent animals. Blizzard has shown a presentation which included Nexus, and I had seen that contained within the frozen flora and frozen heroes who died en route. At higher levels should overpower the blue draw in a match far up the tower because it will save other apprehension as it draws to the end of the mission to fly away.

Blizzard has implemented new vessels that will be used extensively in both PVP and other battles. By making use of these entirely new capabilities available, which are particularly interesting for players whose characters are not usually optimized for PVP, but now can make a difference. Around the North , I look a lot of battles in the air, and this new option may very well end up being a distinctive, fresh approach to game time.

North of Borean Tundra lies Sholazar Basin. I had no opportunity to explore, but an examination revealed an environment which in many ways recalls the Un’Goro Crater. The place described as “titanium the petri dish,” a place where mysterious experiments carried out to create new creatures. Sholazar is loaded with strange beds, waterfalls and two new people who you come to work with. Wolvar are human-like jærve while Gorlocks are descendants of Murlocs. We have seen similar actions before, as in Desolace, but this time it must be possible, and actually called for, the exchange part to play races against one another.

I choose instead to look eastward, to Dragonblight. This large zone is the middle of the southern North Rendsburg and reminds partly on Plaguelands. Arthas influence has had an overwhelming effect on the zone which was originally BEING NECESSARY resting place. The five different draw types each have their own temples to which they come to die, but all over more or less of immortality. I dared me down to the Red Dragon Temple (the area is anywhere on the edge to level 74 while I was still locked to level 70) and encountered a new type of Undead who clambered over the fields.

But there are plenty of other interesting things in Dragonblight. In the northwest are Wrathgate, gateway to Icecrown, Arthas center of power. Here both Fordragon and Garrosh built fortresses in order to be condemned to the emperor’s evil powers, and this would crucial scenes played out, since half-way through extension will encounter Arthas himself. On the way to Wrathgate I also ran on a completely new creature, when I ran past a sort skovnymfe.

Another key point in Dragonblight is Wyrmrest, a central place for Dräger since unlike other breeds, with meetings to discuss the advice. Here are also to fly to draw between the different plans, and later will also be opened for one instance of here.

To the north lies an area covered with thick ice and deep glaciersprækker. While I ran back and forth over the ice, I had to escape huge caterpillars and various ismonstre but my attempts were in vain. North of this location, Crystal Vice exist border with Storm Peaks, but again was closed. I could catch a glimpse of the sick to green piggede trees and a temple, which reminded Felwood.
Also in the northeast are crammed with life and here lies the path to Zul’Drak. As the name suggests, it is a home for magician but Zul’Drak is greater than anything we have seen previously, and covers a whole area. Here built frost troll end its civilization before anyone came to North Rendsburg, and just as their southern cousins in Zul’Aman and Zul’Gurub tilbad the animal gods. Since Scourge attacks attempted control breakthroughs in temporarily to increase their power by sacrificing the gods, which did not go so well. When we arrive in Zul’Drak comprises most of the ruins, since the remaining Trolde still fighting Undead.

Conceptually Zul’Drak and before the part most of North Rendsburg, is to link every instance zones better with the plot of the zone, and the intention is to instance will act as a climax, after you have solved all the tasks in the zone. West Fall Dead Mines and serve as an excellent example of how it can function optimally. A short flight through the temple Drak’Theron in Zul’Drak revealed several huge sites, including a boss battle in which a lich always revives several dead Trolde by storm down the stairs to attack. A sort of reverse version of the fight in Zul’Farrak.
For me is the way in the east, into Grizzle Hills. It felt not much to corruption, although the surrounding parcels strange purple lights. It is a beautiful natural area filled with rivers and irrigate bears chasing salmon, I saw even a flock of wild horses run over. On a hill, I met a group who called themselves Solstice, which only seemed reliable, but which eventually proved to be the werewolf. Yes, the story of Worgen and Arugal will be resumed, since Arthas has revived Arugal to serve him.

Centrally located in Girzzly Hills Vordrassil literally. Just as Teldrassil was an attempt to create a new træverden, but the fact that it is in North Rendsburg was no good start. Far below is superimposed as an Old God, which contributes to much of evil in the area. Vordrassil is overturned, and at its foot are fighting now two Furbolgklaner on the remains.

Perhaps most gratifying for Alliance players is a return from “way back”. Thanks to our help there, too long ago, we managed to defend Gryan Stoutmantle West Fall, and he has now taken his closest men to help against Arthas. One can spend a long time to go around and talk to old friends, yet I had to hurry then because I was hunting for three mammoth who insisted on not giving up their hunt for me.

After staving off the enemy was the trip to Howling Fjord, a snoende forest and the other starting area. If you choose to start here, read my whole description backwards to help. Here you will find anywhere exciting things to look at, but the entire zone is dominated by Utgarde Keep, located in a large fjord, dominated by Vrykulfolket. Utgarde course instead of the numerous instances and is comparable to the Hell Fire Citadel in Burning Crusade.

Here ends my journey, but I also got the chance to make a lot of questions for the gang at Blizzard. What most may wonder is: Why is Arthas? Why now? J. Allen Breack, producer of Wrath of the Lich King is unexpectedly candid. “Arthas is greatest right now, but both story and real-time, he has existed for only seven years.” Blizzard is trying to tell an epic story of Arthas went through the entire extension, so that it feels like something epic when Arthas finally have to bite the grass, and not just as losers of any other boss. But how should it be spread if the developer will continue to make all the super important characters from the universe, be killed? “No problem, we can create new ones. It is not impossible that the players will fight titanium any day.” Conversely, no one to lie on the fingers Frostmourne. Jeff Kaplan, principal designer, points out that they plan to tell a lot about the difficult history, how it was created. However, it may well have “siblings” are not as powerful weapons, but equally legendary weapons that players can potentially contrary to spend.

Death Knights will automatically to be available if you have a character that has reached level 55, t as simple as that. And yes, all races can be Death Knights. Tauren-Death Knigths, Gnome Death Knights,-Draenei Death Knights … one can almost hear all historiepuristernes anger. Blizzard looks undeniably something comical value in a two feet high Death Knight with pink horses tails.

Rent game regularly Death Knights best described as a “tank” unit specialized in fighting against powerful magicians. They have a range of skills that make injury in nærkamp and at a distance, can invoke damage fields and conjure zombies drops from enemies. Most interesting is the possibility of reanimere a member of the group, which then will be able to play as a zombie with a completely new skill until he dies and is re-lived as his original figure.
