There 2 levels of membership in the game Runescape. The first being the Free to play or know as many as F2P, there are no membership fees and players can play the game for free.

All Runescape players have trained at least once in their Runescape life. Whether it is killing men in lumbridge or going one on one with greater demons in the wilderness, it’s still considered training. This guide will hopefully allow you to choose the most efficient way to train and maybe earn some spare gold while you are at it.
When you begin Runescape, you start at Tutorial Island. This is the best place to train when you are level 3. Unfortunately, you can only train to level 3 in any skill on Tutorial Island, or so I heard. When you are finished, go to lumbridge by talking to the mage in the final training field. Lumbridge is dangerous to level 3s but so is anywhere else in Runescape. Don’t take on men in lumbridge for they will kick your butts after a while. Depending on what you want to be, go to different training areas. For example, warriors should go to the goblin house east of lumbridge. Train a bit at the goblin house until you have 10 coins and think you are set for training.
You will need 10 coins to pass the gate to al-kharid. When you enter, head south until you find a house full of al-kharid warriors. Wait till someone attacks one then attack it. Never challenge al-kharid warriors by yourself until the level of 20. Even then, bring some food for survival. I recommend training only strength and attack if you’re being a warrior. Do not train defense until you are level 40+. Usually you will get slaughtered because making money at level 3+ is difficult for many people. Guards and monsters will attack you and you will lose all your money.
Mages are what people should train for until level 35. They make great warriors in the wilderness despite their cost. Training for mages should be in enclosed spaces with lots of nooks and crannies so monsters cannot attack you. Varrock is a good place to train because there is a jail there where you can kill monks. If you go to the jail guard’s place, then you can attack guards behind the fence. When you have enough maging or ranging, go to the wizards tower and attack the lesser demons.
Barbarian village is the best place to train for me. Flesh Crawlers level 38 only hit ones and my adamant and rune armor protects me from consecutive blows. Go to the second floor of the dungeon and turn on auto retaliates. 40 defense and good armor should make your training much easier here. Alright so right here I’ve written a guide for you Runescape players who need a little bit of extra help and/or tips on what to do in order to get 99 mining in Runescape. Now one thing I have to say now is that if you have the money it would be wise to buy all the pickaxes before you start mining as that way you don’t have to stop in between sections to buy pickaxes if not just buy the pickaxes you need for each section as you should make enough money to buy the ones for the next section.
Levels 1-21
Alright now for this part of the guide you have two options as far as pickaxes go and those are the bronze or the iron. Now I suggest you get the iron pickaxe as it mines a little faster than the bronze pickaxe and you will get all the money back from this section of the guide to pay for your iron pickaxe. Now for this part of the guide unless you plan on smithing all the ores you mine (that’s the next guide I’m going to make) I suggest you mine only copper as if gives the same xp as tin and also sells for about 50gp more than tin. Now you should mine copper ore from one of the mines that surround the varrock area either one will do. I suggest you buy a steel pickaxe at 6 mining.
Levels 21-35
Congratulations you can now mine iron. Now for this section of the guide I suggest you get a mithril pickaxe to start and then start mining iron and chugging slowly but steadily to 35 mining. Now to mine iron you can either go to the dwarven mine (which I suggest) or you can stay at the mines that surround varrock. I suggest you buy an adamant pickaxe at 31 mining.
Levels 35-60 or 35-99
Congratulations you can now mine coal. For these levels I suggest you buy an adamant pickaxe if you haven’t already bought one. For this part of the guide I suggest you mine the ore at the dwarven mine if you want to bank the ores or you mine the ores at rimmington if you want to power mine. I suggest you buy a rune pickaxe when you reach 41mining. Now you could also power mine iron all the way to 99 mining as it is the fastest xp/hour ore in the game.
Levels 60-75
Congratulations you can now mine mithril and you can also enter the mining guild. For these levels I suggest you mine mithril ore in the edgeville dungeon if you want to power mine and mining mithril ore in the Mining guild if you want to bank. Now as the mithril ores spawn slow I suggest you mine coal as you wait for the mithril ores to spawn as you can wait up to five minutes for the mithril ore to spawn.
Levels 75-90
Congratulations you can now mine adamant. Now this may take a long time but I suggest you mine coal and not adamant as adamant has no place where you can bank easily and it takes ages to spawn.
Levels 90-99
Congratulations you can now mine runite ore. Now for this section I again say mine coal as runite for the entire game as 3 rocks and it takes about 12minutes for 1 runite or to spawn and I don’t think you would make much progress that way.
Now for a little reference “Power Mining” is mining the ore and just dropping it once it’s mined.

Some say that the Wilderness in Runescape is dangerous; with this Wilderness Pking guide it won’t only be not dangerous, but also very profitable. How is the Wilderness profitable you may ask? Now that you know you can make some cash from PKing your probably wondering what kind of character to use, Mage, Range, or Melee. Well in this section ill explain the pros and cons of each.
Mage:
Pros: Hits hard, long range
Cons: Hits slow, cost a lot, low armor/defense
Range:
Pros: Hits fast, long range, cheap
Cons: Hits low, low armor/defense
Melee:
Pros: Hits fast, hits hard, cheap, good armor/defense
Cons: Short range, loose a lot when you die
As you can see they all have there advantages and disadvantages, but to figure out witch one you PK best with you will have to try them out yourself.
Now that you have a PKer you need to know who to attack, this is actually really simple if you think about it, but just for you air heads out there ill make a little diagram.
Mage » Melee » Range
What this means is that Mage beats Melee, because their spell get stronger through the warriors armor. Melee beats Range, because the warrior’s sword cuts through the ranger’s leather armor, and the rangers arrows don’t go through the warrior’s armor. Range beats mage, because the Mages spells don’t go through the ranger’s leather armor very well, and the ranger’s arrows go right through the mages robes.
All of the things above tell you how to kill the other player, but now ill teach you how to stay alive when someone is attack you. There are two ways to stay alive if you are under attack, one is the obvious and it is to eat food, the best food to bring if you are free to play is lobster and they cost about 200 each, they heal 12 HP in one bite. The best thing to eat if you are members is sharks, sharks are a bit more expensive at 1k each, but they are worth it because they heal 20 HP in one bite. The other way to stay alive if you are under stack is to use your prayer, while Pking prayer is extremely useful because it can give you added bonus to any combat skill including defense.
You know how to PK, what to bring, and what to kill, the only thing now is where to PK. So here is a list of all the major Pking places in the Wilderness and who PKs there.

Tips:
Try to PK in a team to you won’t die as much, the only bad thing about teams is a lot of times your team will back stab you and kill you.
Bring some potions that boost your combat stats so you can kill your enemy faster.
Always leave some run left so just incase you run low on food or get attack by a clan you can still escape.
