Once you reach 55 fishing, providing you have some Barbarian training you can actually dispense with the harpoon and catch fish with your bare hands! Not only will you get fishing XP, but you will also earn strength XP by using this method as well. Members can really maximize their time by heading to locations like Burgh de Rott (sharks), the Barbarian Outpost (leaping fish) and the Living Rock Caverns (rocktail and cavefish). Be prepared to do some fighting in this last location though, as there are rock monsters here that range all the way up to level 200. However, as with most aspects of the game the reward justifies the risk and you can level up very quickly here.
